Welcome to my Hudson River Potters page.
I have explored a number of art practices and always find myself most intensely drawn to ones that involve repetitive motion. Creating vessels on the wheel, melting glass onto a metal rod to make lamp work beads, and fiber arts are art forms I have explored. Clay is the one I keep returning to. I love the experience of discovery in repeating a basic form — a bowl or cylinder, for example — and finding new things in it. Altering the shape or the surface of a piece to create something new is deeply satisfying.
In addition to being a potter, I am a psychologist in private practice specializing in somatic work and trauma. I have practiced meditation for most of the past 40 years. I am a wife, a mother of 2 grown children and, a devoted dog owner.
